Tax Deduction for Energy Efficiency
Have you put a new commercial building into service since 2005 or made energy efficient upgrades to an existing building?
You may be eligible for a minimum 60 cents (up to $1.80) per square-foot tax deduction, according to IRS Code Section 179D. This tax code expires at the end of 2012, so now is the time to get your 179D certification to your accountant.
The tax code requires the certification to come from a licensed [rofessional engineer. Sustainable Energy Associates offers this certification service with a no-cost initial consultation and no-hassle process. You can learn more and pre-qualify your building at sustainableenergyassc.com, or call Grant Cooke at 925-989-7117

Thank you for the great tip regarding 179D certification… We will review all of our properties to see if any qualify. Tapping into these types of programs/deductions is more important now than ever!
Congratulations on starting a very interesting and useful blog… I will definately check in often.
